Red Sox Forever - Or Not Ever?
Apr 2nd, 2007 by admin
How you could ever be a Boston Red Sox fan? The most overrated organization in the history of baseball besides the Chicago Cubs.
As the story goes, at one time they were the cream of the crop. The Cadillac of the Industry, which in this case the Cady was baseball. America’s passion and past time once thrived in Boston. Fans of Boston still believe that the road to glory still goes through Boston. Give us a break! Anybody that knows anything knows the road to glory goes through New York. Pride, Power, Pinstripes baby! Year after year they are picked to finish first in the American League East Division, as well as to win the American League pennant.
True Yankees fans revitalize themselves by thinking of the past, with the future in mind. The difference between Yankee fans and all of the Red Sox fans is honesty. Boston has won a Championship since the Yankees, big deal. Win at least 20 more and then we will talk. Nine straight years the Yankees have just simply taken care of business in the American League East Division. Yet every year Red Sox fans think the next year will be different. Cry wolf too many times and nobody will listen. Once again the Yankees will win the American League East Division this year and Boston fans will just have to live with it.
The 2007 season starts tonight; neither the Yankees or Red Sox play but the true baseball fans will watch the St. Louis Cardinals versus the New York Mets. Go ahead and watch this game is my advice, to get you ready for the big guys. Most fans will watch because it is a new beginning and it all starts tonight. A year full of dreams and excitement, all teams start undefeated. The Red Sox and Yankee’s are tied for first place, and the Toronto Blue Jays are actually in third place. That would be different than last year, when Toronto finished second. Way to go Boston, you are the best.
