Fantastic Father’s Day

Is there a better way to spend Fathers Day than at the College World Series in Omaha?
Baseball in Omaha is the way the game was meant to be played. Kids hustling on and off the field and playing each play as hard as they can. These kids aren’t million dollar ball players, just a bunch of young college students playing the game that they grew up playing the only way they know how. You can see their love for the game written all over there faces the second they run on to field.
As I sat there with my two boys explaining the pick off move and the secondary lead I realized where else in the world would I rather be. Baseball is Americas pastime and can help molded the bond between a father and his son like no other sport. They we were in the smoldering sun watching the Louisville Cardinals beat Mississippi State Bulldogs 12-4 in the first elimination game of 2007. I was amazed that during the entire 3-hour game I did not hear “ dad is it almost over”. The boys were so involved in the game and asking me questions about why the pitcher did this or that, they would have sat there all day long. There is one thing for sure that this is one Fathers Day that I will never forget.
